| The PCI communication cards by Digium allows open-source PBX (Asterisk) to connect to the external communication lines and also enables the option to connect analog telephones to those systems (although, we recommend using IP phones only).
The Digium Company is actually the original developer of the Asterisk platform, and so it is only natural that the Digium cards are well known for their superior quality and reliability.
The PCI and PCI express Digium cards are divided to:
• PRI cards (1,2 or 4 ports per card)
• Analog cards for analog comm. Lines FXO (4,8 or 24 ports per card)
• Analog cards for analog telephones connection FXS (4,8 or 24 ports per card)
• Echo cancelation modules to eliminate background noise.
